Fresh cans, playsets and squishy new compounds — every one picked by the people who make the dough.

Asked at the craft table

Type a word — wheat, slime, age, smell — and the list narrows as you go.

Is Play-Doh non-toxic?

Yes. Our compound is non-toxic, though it isn't food.

Does Play-Doh contain gluten?

Yes. Classic compound is made with wheat, so skip it for kids with a wheat or gluten allergy.

My child ate some. What now?

A nibble isn't expected to cause harm. If a lot was swallowed, there's an allergy, or your child seems unwell, call your doctor or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.

What's the youngest age for Play-Doh?

Cans are labelled 2 and up. Most playsets start at 3; some action figure and challenge sets at 4 or 5.

Is there anything for grown-ups?

Blooms bouquet kits and air dry clay are made with older makers in mind.

Why did my dough go crumbly?

Air got in. Back in the can, lid pressed down all the way round, away from heat.

Can mixed colors be saved?

They can't be unmixed, but marbled dough plays just as well. Kids often like it best for building sites and dino caves.

Is slime the same as dough?

No. Slime stretches and oozes; dough holds a shape. Both live in sealed tubs.

Does air dry clay need baking?

No oven needed. It hardens in the air, usually overnight for small pieces.

Do old tools work with new cans?

Yes. Any Play-Doh can works with any Play-Doh playset, whatever year it came from.

Do playsets include dough?

Yes. The number of cans is listed on every product page.

Can I buy directly from this site?

No. Each button opens the product's listing, where you can see today's price and order.

How fresh are the prices?

Checked in October 2026. The listing always has the live price.

Where do the reviews come from?

They're quoted word for word from verified US buyers of each set.
